Not to be a buzz kill but maybe they should have been an 8-9?? They lost 5-6 to finish the season. Since that time they have been locked in...the team had made it to another level. Nobody could have predicted this.

The problem with Bilas is that he is way too rational and provides supporting analysis to back up his positions, not something Davis, Gottlieb, Forde, Lunnardi, etc care to do. The junk pundits just throw random half truths out there freely and many of the uneducated college basketball fans gladly take their word. Clearly Bilas is objective in his point of view, heck he picked Duke to lose against Oregon.

Bilas is a smart guy. Gottlieb is a dumb meathead.

I've always liked Bilas. Honest, respectful, and he knows the game better than most. He also doesn't spit nearly as much BS as most other analysts, he just spits rhymes.
Isn't he quoting rap songs? I never listen to it so I don't know. Are the rhymes original or quotes?

Bilas is a practicing attorney. He's more than just a former jock, and it shows.

Quotes. Think he caught some heat not long ago for not self-editing an N bomb in a tweet or some type of social media post.

Source: Me. Been listening to gangster rap since '93, and apparently I'll never stop.

He won't do that twice.

Not if you are quoting a rap song. MAYBE if you are quoting Huckleberry Finn though.

Great reference. One of those books in high school that I would secretly read as soon as I got home. Didn't want my friends to know though. Back to that "cred" thing at that age.

Bilas just picked UNC.

I haven't watched the show in maybe five years or possibly longer. BUT I recognize all these characters because last year I started playing a Simpsons' video game. Homer has blown up Springfield and it's your job to rebuild it. Kind of like the old Sims games, but with the Simpsons' characters and it's 100 times better than the Sims games were, because it's constantly being updated with new characters and mini games, many of them seasonal. It is free to download but you do end up spending money to buy donuts (of course!) because you can only do a limited number of things if you don't spend real $. But I don't go to movies anymore, and that saves at least 30 a month, and that's about what I spend on donuts per month, but instead of 5-6 hours of fun a month I get 5-6 hours of fun in just a couple of days, and the rest of the month is gravy. But do not get it if you are not retired, or at least you need an undemanding job, and especially don't get it if you have kids that need your attention a lot because it can be totally addictive at first.

Syracuse was UNDER-seeded. Choke on that, naysayers.

But we weren't. Seeding is earned and if anything we were over seeded based on what we earned. No rational person would disagree.

Now... The argument may be we have more talent than a normal 10 seed but CERTAINLY not underseeded. I didn't hear jay say it but no way he said something that dumb in that context.

Sorry, but tired of that complaint. It's the same statistic that many naysayers have been using to want to keep us out the tourney. Fact is the committee does not use the Last 10 criteria any more. They use the whole body of work. And our body includes wins over tourney and ranked teams UConn, Duke, Notre Dame, and Texas A&M. No other bubble team had that resume and very few 8-9 teams had that resume, including 9 seeded UConn. Also, the St. John's argument fails as well, as #9 Providence lost to 9 win Depaul.

I'm not complaining and I'm anything but a naysayer. I felt the team was better then their record all season but they under achieved and played poorly in some games down the stretch that impacted their seeding. They had a good body of work but they lost to PITT 3 times and PITT was a 10. They finished 9-10 with the conference game. They had the ability all season to beat anybody and lose to anybody. Maybe that gives you higher then a 10 seed but def not a 1-6 seed. If you are trying to tell me you saw this coming I am calling liar.
