Jayson Tatum to Duke

Honestly, now that K has completely embraced one-and-dones and two-and-dones, Kentucky will play second fiddle until he retires, imho.

That's what 5 NCs, 4 Runner-Ups, and 3 more semi-finals (FF) in 20 years will do for you.

It's an incredible run. And when you add the Olympics piece on top of that, sheesh. Talk about overkill.

Cheers,
Neil

Another 5 star stud. Hope 3 star Broderick Jones can school him.

I understand we have not gotten many of them and that we've done relatively well with what our strategy has been, but if we're going to continue with this recruiting strategy we need to be able to hit on the one-and-dones that we get.

The Chris McCullough's and Donte Greene's of the world won't be enough to compete against the top tier teams.

Will Duke recruit players who can't cope in the classroom?

They are also the favorite for Harry Giles:bang:

Tatum Jason committed to Duke today and in addition to stating how happy he was to be part of such a great program he mentioned he had a little recruiting to do when Giles name came up. Duke is set up to remain among the teams who continually assemble the premier talent year after year and will be the team to beat for Syracuse if they are to win the ACC title anytime soon. Ya gotta hand it to coach K for being able to pick the best fruit from the tree year after year.

3 Straight # 1 recruiting classes. To say the Cuse has it's work cut out would be a huge understatement. As long as K is there we will never bring in talent in the manner in which they do. We will need to beat them with our zone fit with long ideal 3-2ers who can SHOOT.

donte greene's long and storied NBA career should not be forgotten by SU fans.

The real problem is that they get legitimate one & doners - our one & doners are just kids with pipedreams & potential who should really be two & three year players who regretfully get their head's turned by the quick buck over their long term career development.

It seems they are getting multiple consensus top 10 guys every year. Probably UK is the only other team doing that but it seems like Duke and K are able to pick the top10 guys that they want the last 2/3 years.

It doesn't necessarily guarantee success. Parker was the 2nd ranked recruit and they lost in the first round.

If you build your team right, and have the right pieces you can beat them. We are going to have a physically imposing team in 2016.
