just was on his CBS cable talk show. Apparently they are old friends. Brando asked if JB requests Verne and Raf to do all his tourney games. JB said yes because they're so old it makes him seem young. Good comeback. Brando complimented SU on the great defense. Jimmy in typical fashion said our defense was good but Indiana just played poorly. He thought they would play bettter. It bothers me sometimes that JB is modest to an extreme and doesn't take advantage of the opportunity to talk up the program and give some compliments to our kids. He spent the rest of the interview talking about how great Michigan is. How he thinks they are the best offensive team in the country. How great Trey Burke is. (Never said anything about MCW's play BTW). And how Belein knows how to play against the zone and will make sure Michigan gets good shots. I know that JB wants to talk up an opponent and paint his team as a big underdog but it would be nice if was a little bit positive about his own team once in a while. Every other coach uses these opportunities to plug their program.
