Also, disagreeing with what JB is doing now doesn't mean that people hate JB.

I think most people recognize JB's massive contributions to what Syracuse basketball is.

No one thinks his name shouldn't be on the court or that he shouldn't be in the HoF. In fact, I'd wager most people think he should get his wins formally reinstated.

And he was at the helm for the 2003 title, which, if you are posting on a message board, probably means that is a very important thing in your life.

But you can complain now that he's doing grumpy old man stuff in front of a microphone.

It’s been part of previous interviews since Red was fired. I really don’t know why he’s going on a media tour about it.

This is a recurring pattern. He says crazy crap that creates a PR issue for the school. I’m guessing someone or someones at the school reach out to him and say “Jim, What?!?!?!?” and give him some pointers on how to approach things. From that point he’s usually good for a while.

I’d prefer JB be proactive and reach out to people ahead of time, but it does not appear that is ever going to happen.

Name those teams?

Providence College and Marqutte Univesrity have bigger NIL Budget in Big East than us and both are mid teams in a top heavy Big East.

This could come into play if we want the guy from South Florida. I know if I was a perspective applicant, the first question I would ask "how big is my NIL bag".

The "fan base", writ large, adores JB.

A much smaller segment of the fan base remains agitated about the last 5-6 years of his tenure, when he largely quit recruiting and stopped being deeply engaged with practice.

There are almost no similarities of Boeheim's SU tenure at any other school. So the comparison you want to make is difficult.

He also ran the school through two probations, a weird scandal w Bernie, a car crash and wasn’t exactly a lovely spokesperson.

He’s complicated. I don’t blame either fan who isn’t a huge fan yet the flip side is he was 40 years of consistent ncaas.

Cause people are idiots in the amount in which people crap on him. Do they not realize without him this program wouldn’t be as storied of a program that it is. So sick and tired of the bs.
