Back to the basketball, here’s facts: Autry was pretty ok at recruiting, absolutely dismal at everything else. It is 100% to drag players in the modern era, they are highly paid professional mercenaries, they should not need to be hand-held in order to perform and improve. However, the coach has got to create situations to maximize their success which Autry abjectly failed to do, while at the same time JJ barely being able to draw iron on a free throw is nobodies fault but his own.

The whole thing needs to be torn down and rebuilt from the ground up.

The "fan base", writ large, adores JB.

A much smaller segment of the fan base remains agitated about the last 5-6 years of his tenure, when he largely quit recruiting and stopped being deeply engaged with practice.

There are almost no similarities of Boeheim's SU tenure at any other school. So the comparison you want to make is difficult.

You framed it well. That smaller segment is agitated because that 5-6 year end to JB's coaching career has had a direct impact on where we are now.

I just listened to JB’s segment with Dan Patrick… do people think he really said anything controversial or disparaging with respect to SU? I’m not quite sure where all of the animosity is coming from.

No he's right about our two best players not showing up this year. It's the money thing that he is dead wrong on. We are no where near gt and bc in nil. And if you think su should have more nil, do something. You made plenty of money in.your life and know plenty of people with money.
