Why? Who knows? Who cares?
Precisely. I'm certainly more interested in figuring out what to have for dinner tonight.

JB was in mid-season form in his post-game presser. He gave very short answers and snarky responses. He just has no tolerance for the local media. None of this is breaking news but I thought it was a little odd, considering he felt we played well. His body language was very "can I please get the out of here, please."
My favorite response was to a question about whether he was worried about how Kaleb would react to not being a starter. JB said something to the effect of, "why would I concern myself with that? I'm more concerned with what I'm going to have for dinner tonight." LOL. Classic.
Agree.
Didn't seem cranky at all. He was patient to answer all questions. Usually if hes cranky hes impatient as well.
We are the cranky ones Team wins two exhibitions by 40 plus shooting 50% 23 assists and 20 plus turnovers forced while only giving up 13 offensive boards and some of us already have us chalked at 10 losses the other ones 15 and a NIT.
Do you think these exhibition games predict the outcome of the season that follows them?
Not a knock but we spend more time on this message board hoping to be right then hoping the team will be good, that's all I need to think as a fan.Do you think these exhibition games predict the outcome of the season that follows them?

MSU got in the tournament as number one overall 2 years ago with 11 losses. We play at pitt which gives us playing 7 of the top 8 teams in the acc on the road this year.
I look forward to the presser after ACC game 10.
Nobody hopes more than I do that we win every game and win the title every year. But I also hope I end up a billionaire and marry a double jointed supermodel with a bunch of hot bi-s e xual friends. I'm able to realize in my head that I probably wont end up with billions and that this team probably won't be one of the top Syracuse teams that we've seen without getting too upset.
I hope JB does the post game pressers even during the suspension.[
He can't be anywhere near the team or personnel during the suspension. He is not even allowed to talk to anyone involved.
A new form of cruel and unusual punishment that only an archaic organization like the NCAA could administer.
Not having to do post-game pressers is undoubtedly the only thing about the suspension that JB will enjoy.I hope JB does the post game pressers even during the suspension.
If all this is true, then why does Syracuse play exhibition games? JB could substitute 2 closed scrimmages for the 2 exhibitions. Not only could he play against more meaningful competition, but he wouldn't have to have a press conference afterwards. In fact, by NCAA regs, he couldn't even talk about them. For someone that finds the press so irritating, this seems a no brainer to me, unless the Syracuse athletic department is in desperate need of the
funds generated by the ticket sales.
Do you really think there is greater benefit playing Le Moyne or Florida Southern, in front of a crowd, as opposed to playing a Vanderbilt or a VCU behind closed doors? Obviously, CJB must believe so, but I find it a tad curious. The team spends enough time playing in the gym. He wants to use the scrimmages to get the new guys used to playing in front of crowds.

Still in contention for the double jointed supermodel with a bunch of hot bi-s e xual friends?
Yes, you may not be rich, and the team may lose ... but nirvana is still possible. You saw what I did there
I like him just the way he is. Many questions are to get a rise out of him. I think he is more irritated that they are trying to get a rise out of him than by the exact question. I am glad he has no patience for them.I watch the pressers and wish he could be more cordial sometimes. He's the face of the program and should always try to project a positive public image. On the other hand, after 40 years I can understand some cynicism. Most of it is routine -- and he's generally positive about his players and the program. But he's also probably tired of the microphones, and keenly aware that the same people asking banal questions about an exhibition game were perfectly happy seeing him fry for higher ratings during the NCAA scandal. He know's the media are not his friends. To that extent, the pressers are a game of pretending ... that he's not good at.
