JB win restoration?

WTFC about the wins, really? What do they matter? He is in the HOF and has a championship. The rest are just numbers.

Wow, that was a fast trigger. Was that you Orange79? That was like a cobra.

JB talking about Biden loving Cuse hoops and Biden talking to the NCAA about getting JB's wins back are very far apart my man.

If it happens, I'll be here to eat crow. When Biden addresses every issue I brought up and never talks about the NCAA reinstating JB's wins, will you?

But congratulations for having more posts in a shorter period of time than me on this board.
I like you but you are being a little too rough on Dasher.

Biden isn’t going to spend time on JB but when he becomes President he will have a bully pulpit. When he invites the NCAA champions to the WH he could easily slip a comment to the NCAA then.
It’s not like anyone said Biden should do anything now. Biden is about to become the most powerful person in the world.

His comments will carry a lot more weight.

Next May the NCAA champions get invited to the WH Biden could open his mouth and help Boeheim in the court of public opinion.

JB should just take to Twitter and declare them restored while we are still operating in this alternative reality where facts don’t matter. I think his window for doing this may be closing.

So as not to interfere with governmental business, this phone call should be made during "executive time."
Forget that, it should be a plea right in the middle of his first State of the Union Address. "My fellow Americans, what about Boeheim's wins? A man's wins should never be taken from him in such a manner. Orange nation stand back and stand by."

I hear ya, but outside of B10 football being pressured to resume for political clout this year, a move like that would be unprecedented, no? And I don't think the P-elect is the type of guy to try to use his position like that.

Like I said, if JB's wins reappear, I'll be here. But I'd be shocked if it's even close to being on 46's radar.

Mark Emmert, the current NCAA president, has a PhD from Syracuse. That did Jim a lot of good.

On the other hand, Emmert's term is about to expire, so who knows.
Trump is looking for a job.

I never said that it was anywhere near at the top of the list. I said in my post, I'm almost convinced that it will happen. The word almost was in there. And this stuff happens in the world a lot more than you might think.

I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm just bored waiting for this speech tonight, but when you say this stuff happens in the world a lot more than I think, can you give me some examples?

I know 45 did it trying to get B10 football started. I know in 2008 Obama answered an interview question saying he wanted a CFB playoff; in the same interview Sen JM said he wanted steroids out of baseball -- but I don't think they ever put anymore pressure on the NCAA or MLB to implement the changes. When else have similar situations come out of the White house? (not trying to stir anything up, but seriously asking for an answer)

My career is in finance. I have been lucky enough to have some well known political people as clients. It's just passing stories they have told me. Honestly, not from the White House (although I have a great Bill Clinton story I could tell you off line). just stuff on how things get done. I told a friend about our back and forth and he agreed right away with you. He said we didn't elect Biden to get JB his wins back. I never said that. I sure didn't mean to infer that. It is not on Biden's radar right now and God, it shouldn't be. . I would never say that it is. I just think that at some point, something will be said to someone. And my biggest idea of it is that the NCAA are cowards. Just a suggestion and they fold. We will see. Pal, I'm not trying to be argumentative either. I have friends here having a party (victory) so...

Not sure to what you are referring. But if it was a deleted post, it wasn't me.

Really? What post? I don't remember being that bad? I certainly didn't intend to be
Jeez, I don't even remember now. You had a couple posts in a row. I was reading one and I was going to reply to it and it was gone.

That might have been a private post. And it is still there if that is what it is.

And dior, get your act together. Hey, I wouldn't mind if he started calling football and basketball recruits. it's about time we got a break.

Dude, please stop with that. Please. Maybe I haven't made myself clear because I said it was one phone call. I have to assume you didn't read that. Biden talks to kids on the phone about their problem with a studder. Give it a rest. Dude. And we will see what happens. Paris beheading. JFC.

Basically the same time investment as 1/2 a tweet storm about whichever irrelevant topic the latest psychosis induced rage has caused Trump to rant on. Guys got to have hisdistractions.

Emmert won the wrong office, not enough clout to get anything done.

Is it crazy to think a President Biden can influence the NCAA to get JB his wins back? Yes the president has more important things on his agenda, but even if it's a ghost written letter? Is it crazy to think this could happen?

Please keep politics out of the post, really genuinely curious if anyone thinks this is more than a pipe dream.
Biden has way too many important things to do like, pass laws to cancel student debt, and give us all free health care. Oh wait...none of that crap is going to get done either so he might as well add restoring JB's wins to his list too :)
