Here's what Wildhack said JB would be doing as Special Assistant to the Athletic Director - 6/2023:

As Wildhack and Syracuse navigate this changing (NIL) world, they’ll do so with the help of Jim Boeheim, who is working as a special assistant to Wildhack.

“He will help us raise money and we need to do more of that," Wildhack said of Boeheim. "He will help in that regard. You know, he's there and he's available to any coach, head coach, assistant coach, you know, guidance, mentorship, etc., that type of thing. When we have recruits on campus, you know, they can meet with coach as well. He's offered to to speak to students at Newhouse, etc., that type of thing. Really important to have Jim Boeheim, part of the Syracuse athletics family, and he's embraced this role.”
