JB's growing list of "Can'ts"

At some point pretty much every player in every sport on every team has sequences like that. I vividly remember Chris Paul's 2104 meltdown against the Thunder in the game 5's closing seconds when he turned the ball over twice and fouled Westbrook on a 3-pt attempt--he was pretty much solely responsible for the Clips blowing a 7-point lead in less than a minute and getting eliminated from the playoffs. Stuff happens.

Have you ever seen Joseph hit a 15 footer?

Neither has JB. And he's watched Joseph brick 200 shots a day in practice since September.
Has anyone seen Joseph penetrate to the rim and dish instead of dribbling aimlessly east-west behind the 3-pt line? That's a bigger problem than his shot. Or put his hands up on D to contest a shot?

well kaleb had a better fg% than you know who last year when he actually played some minutes.
so are we unhappy with his shooting %,his asst/to ratio or his defense/steals ?

It just appears to me that Howard is much more effective at running the offense than KJ although the near preposterous moratorium on him shooting EVER has clearly been picked up on by opposing coaches and it has been more difficult for him to make anything happen of late.

But in any event KJ minutes would come at the expense of FH, and I agree with the trade off being made on that count.

I am just hoping that Hopkins has a mind of his own when he finally takes over.
After watching the women's game yesterday they are basically a mirror image of Boeheims.

I think he will. Frank Howard started seeing more minutes under Hop. Hop went offense/defense with substitutions late in games more than Boeheim does. I'm just so sick of watching our awful, awful offense under Boeheim. If we don't get out on the fast break, we can't score 60 points. Our offense has been garbage for a long time.

Kaleb is just not good enough for this level. He would be a fine player at Iona or Monmouth or a school like that. And if Chino isn't good enough to get on the court when Roberson plays poorly, then shouldn't we be moving him on, too? Not to be a jerk, but if we have to play with only 10 or 11 men, let's make sure they can contribute at this level. We've got no room for passengers.

joseph had a 2:1 asst/to ratio. that's acceptable . same as howard and better than the starters. but again it's impossible to gauge his play cuz he simply wasn't given any run at all this year. you can't come in cold for 2 minutes and perform.

(also happened to lead the team in steals per minute played by a wide margin.)

Joseph is an immediate liabilty on both ends whenever he is on the floor. IMO, his assists are directly a result of playing hot potato with the ball and getting rid of it immediately when he gets it. If someone makes a bucket then there is your assist for Joseph.
