Bulldog04 and CuseMan4 you guys notice how JB phrases the whole “this is why I coached this season” comment? Almost came across as he owed it to these recruits….but sounded a little foreboding…

I’m as frustrated as anyone with JB but I don’t want him to retire after the season. This is a two year project, and JB needs to stick around to oversee the building of the foundation with these freshman. As long as Mintz comes back and we grab a key transfer from the portal and/or Jesse also returns, we’ll have a chance to be really good next season. I just don’t trust Autry or Gmac to be anywhere near as good of an in-game coach as JB. (Look at what’s happened at Nova with Jay Wright gone but a Nova guy taking over. No Bueno.) And if Widhack brings in a new head coach not from the staff/with no SU ties, most of this roster will likely transfer out and we’ll be starting from scratch again.
