...JB was quite light and somewhat funny...he of course said no questions about the "issue", but of course most of the questions were about it. He did say he talks too much but that is his nature but he was going to not talk about the issue.

JB did not answer most questions simply by saying he would not answer. He did say that Bernie was a friend of 40 years or so...and that loyalty is important. He backed off from the JOEPA statement saying it was misunderstood. Lastly he said that all have to let it play out however it ends it ends. Would not comment on Bernie coming back or not.

As far as the team...he said first half was terrific with good ball movement, defense and shots going in...second half was good wth good ball movement, defense, but a lot of shots did not go in...

He was pleased that so many got to play and got more experience...but he did not name a player at all...did not point out anyone for terrific or poor play.

Said he was looking forward to NY tournament and that there were three really good teams they would play--or at least two of them to win...

They ran the entire press conference in it's entirety on ESPNews--JB handled himself well.

The funniest moment came after JB said he didn't want to rehash anything, that he'd already said enough. Predictably, that prompted a reporter to ask whether he wished he hadn't said anything or felt like he said too much. JB's response [paraphrasing] was that no, he didn't regret anything he said, and that nobody can tell him to keep his mouth shut. Well, except...

He then paused to look toward the back of the room, where Juli Boeheim was seated--drew a laugh from the crowd.

..

JB can be so graceful and charming when the national media are there...if that had been a room full of Post Standard folks, I think his demeanor would have been a tad different.
