It would be interesting to lose the guy who knew when to strike the NFL iron while it was hot and gain the guy who didn't.

That said, no way a guy like that takes the OC job here. Like an airline that lets a seat go unsold rather than sell for cheap, I think he'd just take a year off.

Linked article says that "...Tedford was in line to be the highest paid head coach in the CFL, commanding a salary of $500,000 or more ..."

So, depending on what the exchange rate is these days, he's probably in our price range.

I saw a report last week and posted on one of these threads that Tedford had been contacted from search firms...but was then told by someone that we aren't hiring a search firm so we probably aren't interested. But can't we contact him directly? It seems like he must have something lined up to walk away like that. But that's what we thought about FHCDM and the Bills (who i still say winds up as a HC in the NFL again).

Coyle didn't hire a search firm? That's interesting. Hope he's getting guidance/support from Syverud and others. Hate to think our new AD MAY be operating in a vacuum - both from a procurement and negotiating perspective.
