Jeremy Lin-Are you sold yet, and if not, how long till you'd be sold?

I think I've been sold since the lakers game. I just want this story to keep going. Im scared that after a few sub par nights, they will crush him, and say he was all just hype

How can you not be sold. He will cool down eventually but its better than the alternative which is crappy PG play.

Huge Knicks Fan. One of my favorite Knicks PG moments was when Chris Childs punched Kobe.

I wasn't sold before the Lakers game on Friday, but I was after the first quarter in that game where he had 10 points, 3 assists and a steal.

That's whenI picked him up on my ESPN fantasy points league. I'm surprised he was still available at that point.

This kid is the real deal. Even if he give the Knicks 16/7 the rest of the way, that'd be HUGE.

He's going to be great in NY. Best Knicks PG since Mark Jackson.

After he's played some teams a couple of times and they have a chance to make adjustments. I'm rooting for him though.

great story but i'd sell if he was a stock, just based on the league figuring him out a bit. if jj barea was the only option on a team, he might get similar stat lines. the "winning" part is what's nuts to me but maybe that just speaks to the impact of having a pg that fits in d'antoni's offense.

i want to be sold, but the problem is that hes more than a bigmac shy of 175lbs. he is already taking a beating and the worst is yet to come.

i also believe in the 'system' too much to think that every GM in the league didnt want to draft him, that he was cut like 3x this year and that he sat on the bench for 2 months.

what the just happened?? was he like Bill Murray in groundhog day and started taking piano lessons, like 300 of them in row and then overnight...voila, hes killing it at some bar?? :noidea:

im trying to keep my feet on the floor, but i certainly dont want to.

Just wondering. As a Knicks fan, I want to be sold.
The Laker game had to erase all doubts. The kid has moxie, elite quickness, toughness, smarts, and a feel for the game. Most of all he is a LINNER !!!

My only concern is that w the Knicks total lack of any kind of a serviceable backup PG that Jeremy will wear down (he takes a beating every game). He cannot continue to play 40+ MPG with the pounding he is taking already. The Knicks need to find somebody who they can put on the court at the point for 13 to 15 MPG & limit Jeremy to about 35 MPG if they want him to last.

My other minor concern is TOs, but hopefully w Melo and Amare back & guys like Shump & Landry emerging that Lin will not feel as much pressure to sometimes force a play. He is a smart player & I believe fewer TOs will come with more experience.

He's listed at 6'3" 200 lbs. Plenty big enough for an NBA point guard.

The only thing I want to see is how he fares against the best in the league. He's only faced one above average team in the Lakers, and they had played an OT game in Boston the night before and can't cover point guards to save their lives. I want him to keep this up and the buzz in the City is fun. He should also be able to get Melo better shots, something that's been a problem all year. IMO, the real story in NY sports last night was King Henrik shutting out the Bruins as the Rangers moved 9 points clear in the East.

Eh, not sold. The Laker game? The Lakers let every PG in the league abuse them. Triche would drop 20 on them.

Lin has been amazing. But teams know about him now. The road will get tougher.

I know it's 5 games away...and Dallas and ATL will be difficult...but if they somehow are still streaking going into Miami next Thursday..

It'll be the biggest NBA regular season game of all time.

when hes out there, he just seems like a...wait for it......china doll.

Maybe he hasn't played against the best teams, but he has already outplayed some of the best PGs.

His first game was playing 7 or 8 minutes in Boston where he torched them. D'Antoni went back to TD when he should have put Lin back in...and we lost.

He also has the best frontcourt in the NBA to take the load off of him. Lets see teams trap him on the pick n roll when Melo comes back...I would loveeeeeeeee to see how that works out for the opposing team.

Somehow this Linsanity stuff is reminding me of "Shane Spencer, the home run dispenser!" from years back. If he's still tearing it up in mid-March, I'll start thinking he'll stick around longer as a top flight player than Shane did.

His team has won, but all of those PG's have played well against the Knicks too. That's a lost part of this, he cannot defend. Wall had 29 and 6, Williams had 21 and 11, Calderon scored 25 on him in 3 quarters, and I don't even look at Derek Fisher or Devin Harris as scoring guards this year.

Lin can ball. Every player has poor games so when that happens it's just the nature of the game.

Anyone who knows anything about the sport recognizes Lin has a great skillset.

How long were Kevin Maas or Shane Spencer phenoms?

I am definitely rooting for him, but this is what I am worried about, also. Of course, this is also the perfect season for a guy of slight build - shortened to 66 games to begin with, then he languishes on the bench for the first 1/3 of the season. He's only got 40 odd games to play - it's like jumping into the Boston Marathon at the halfway point.

Enter Iman Shumpert. Dude is a filthy defender.
