Ga Tech plays Georgia on Nov 30. They won't play again a month later.

Would be kind of cool to play Georgia in a bowl game in a cool city like Nashville. We would definitely be outmatched but bowl games are funny sometimes. Maybe Georgia feels the Music City is below them and don't give a crap about the game and we play lights out, who knows. Either way just win one or two and get us somewhere, we need the practice. To get to a bowl after what we lost to graduation and staff would be a huge statement in our first ACC season.

wasn't duke in the belk bowl last year that likely means they won't be this year. At least we are chosen for a bowl before boston college who gets an at large bowl slot.I have Maryland as a near lock for the military bowl

I think the belk bowl would jump at the chance to get duke again...at least I think so.

Any uglier than Saturday? I think it would be fun. I just can't worry about who our bowl opponent is. We can find a strength with any of them that would seem challenging. I like the idea of playing a school with a recognizable name. SEC at that? Sign me up, even if it gets out of hand. I've lived through enough blowouts at this point. I'll survive.

The only way it's going to happen though is if A) we go 5-3, B) Maryland needs to be 3-5, and it would help if BC was 3-5. So the one win rule would be in effect. Which means Maryland needs to beat BC this weekend in College Park, and lose at NC State the following weekend. Not that out of the question.

Give us a team with simliar level athletes. UGA has top 5 talent in the nation with FSU, Bama, Ohio State. I don't want to throw up watching the bowl game. Our D can't dominate a team with good QB and Murray is elite.

Gotta agree. Give me a middle fo the road SEC or B10 school, that's what we are...middle of the road. I'd love to play Michigan this year. Any reason 2 ACC teams can't play each other if one is taking an at-large bid?

I would be cool playing any team no more than a 7-9 point favorite. I want to go into the game thinking we can win. We don't have enuf skill athletes to play any decent team from the SEC this year.

We need 15 more practices and a winnable bowl game close to our fan base. That is all...the opponent's brand is secondary.

I would be okay with any bowl since that would make this season a success and show that SS is a decent coach who just needs to upgrade the WR and QB for us to be better than average, but we should tell Georgia Tech you are playing UGA two times in a row since you have better talent and Nashville is a nice enough city to get a decent crowd even if its a rematch. I would play any non-Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M, South Carolina SEC team in Nashville. Like if Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Missouri fell to that game I would love the Music City Bowl. Those 3 SEC teams have good talent which is better than ours but I think it would be fun matchups. Personally, I hope Duke goes to the Chick-Fil-A or Russell Athletic Bowl so we can go to the Belk Bowl.

But it would give us a chance to show Murray's father that he should have brought his kid home to play at SU.
