Wake Forest is also against it, but they say they're afraid this will make them non-compliant with Title IX.

I was ambivalent about this idea, but if it gives SU a recruiting advantage over Jersey State, I'm all for it.

Do we have 2k to pay out to players? We cant even afford avg facilities.

Well, SU didn't issue a formal objection. Has DOCTOR Gross said anything for or against it? Maybe if Syracuse had a real newspaper, somebody would have asked him already. Plus SU should be getting about $8 million dollars a year more in TV money when it gets in the ACC. That should more than pay for the benefit.
