Jesse Palmer and Booger McFarland

I normally don't complain about play-by-play announcers and talking heads, but these two drive me crazy (Okay, maybe it's a short putt and not a drive).

McFarland is a typical myopic SEC homer and doesn't do his homework. Palmer is trite and boring.

Neither one says anything new or incisive.

Maybe it's just me. Hand me the clicker.

There are so few really good pbp announcers and especially color commentators that I am always surprised when I rin into them I do recognize it is a difficult job to fill air time in many games. They all seem to repeat themselves ad nauseum.

I don’t mind Palmer actually. I mean, color is the best thing he’s done since ‘The Batchelor’.

Mucus McFarland is horrible. The latest re-occurring Mike and Mike guest who needs to be dropped off a cliff (Cris Carter, Brian Billick etc)

It would be nice to have people that are paid to break down games not have an allegiance to their former teams and conferences. Most if not all can not separate themselves from that allegiance to make an objective opinion and it's really difficult to find anyone in college football that can do so.
