Jim Mora to Colorado St

Colorado State will be in the new PAC. Plus, he is closer to his home. I think he might have been waiting on Colorado to move on from Deion, but decided that this was as good as it would get for now.

I cannot believe Fagnano had a season 28 touchdowns and one interception. We cannot even find a backup who can get ONE TD (in a drive longer than 15 yards) in the first 3 quarters of SEVEN games... then again, we only start QBs that are willing to turn the ball over as much as possible.
Fagnano was like 30 years old. Even Ricky could improve given the amount of time Fagnano has been around the game.

(it’s still a nice achievement by Fagnano regardless of his advanced age)

Not so sure about that with Rickie
Not asking for us to have someone with a 28/1 split as a backup.

But maybe a 4/6 or 5/6 split?

Collins is fairly close at 6/10. His issue is that 4 of those were garbage time. The other 2 were one pass drives. Not one sustained drive TD in Qs 1-3.

Filardi at 1/3 with 1 garbage time TD passing.

I was just being sarcastic, but Rickie is bad. No reason we can’t get a viable QB2, Fran is a great recruiter obviously and the sell isn’t as hard as people think with Steve’s injury status

Thought he would be able to get a bigger job.
UConn football means absolutely nothing, which means that while losing to UConn is a very back eye, a UConn coach with back to back 9 win seasons means very, very little to people outside the northeast.

yup. they put almost ALL their money into women's and men's basketball. They got lucky with Mora and they have to keep hitting on retreads like that or really young hungry coaches who move on in another two years.
They will contact Bob Chesney. If he takes the job we will know he is a moron.

Less stress at CSU with lower expectations than a P4 conference. Probably his last job before retiring.

He’s 64, probably just wants to live in Fort Collins in a low stress job where he makes a lot of money.

Can’t say I blame him.
Yep, this is his last HC job. Colorado State surely gave him a big pay bump. And they are committed to being a big player in the new Pac-12/Group of 6.

I'm not surprised a P4 school wasn't knocking down his door. Most schools are looking for HCs that are at least 20 years younger these days (UNC excluded).

Each offseason Mora would always talk about not being able to keep players because of NIL. He was jumping on the first bus out of UCONN.
Colorado State has send thy are increasing finical support to football since they are moving to the PAC 12, I hope he does well out their seems like a good guy.

I lived in CT for over twenty years and liked it very much. Colorado is a cool state as well but I prefer CT myself - near to much more. But that's just me.
Mora worked miracles. He is very underrated IMHO.
Well said. Live in one with home in another, but Mora did a flat-out phenomenal job. UCONN will be hard-pressed to find the next Mora for its program.
