Jim Rome and Howard Bryant (ESPN) really went off on JB. Said JB came out way too strong in his initial comments. Said nothing about his later backing off of them. Bryant said he believes JB knows "a lot" and when more victims come forward it will all come back around on him. Rome jumped in and agreed all the way. It was the strongest put down of JB I've heard so far.

Howard Bryant doesn't even have a Wikipedia page. I.e. he does not matter.

Was his argument that JB knows "a lot" due to Paterno knowing a lot or does he feel it in his gut? Pretty strong comments unless he has inside info.

Thought I heard Rome was pro boeheim yesterday?

Bryant also said that JB lived next to Fine for 35 years.

Fact check FAIL.

I never heard of Howard Bryant before this post, but in some people's mind, he does matter. People are allowed to make whatever opinions they want based on whatever facts that want to include. You could say it's the American way. The whole thing has been a huge emotional roller coaster and will continue to be rocky until all the facts have been released. Not sure anyone at this point can even make an opinion without any caveats at this point. Too many unknowns.

yeah so did Rome flip-flop now in the course of one day?

A lot of talking heads, bloggers, etc. that I never heard of until the past 10 days, so they can't be too important.

Am I only one who's getting a sense of backlash since ChancyNancy gave the dreaded "vote of confidence" statement?
Its almost like folks were looking forward to telling the story of another iconic HC getting fired in disgrace.

Never heard of Howard Bryant but his 15 minutes is ticking away. Bye.

Bryant never mentioned the vote of confidence. He only bashed JB over his statement from 11 days ago.

I believe bryant hit his wife earlier this year. He was arrested on feb 11. He is someone on want on the other side.

Howard Bryant is probably the best writer ESPN's got. He's hammered Barry Bonds repeatedly over the years.

Of course, if any of the moderators on this board came out as critical of Boeheim, I have a feeling a good number of the posters on here would jump in and bash that person as ignorant or irrelevant.

Watching the interview, you could see Bryant was not an ignorant person, but certainly one who was Very biased in his assessment of JB. Irrelevant-----I don't think anyone who is capable of making a clear statement is irrelevant in this scandal because most of the people watching are not deeply familiar with all the players on the sports scene, good or bad.

Rome is a punk ass...always has been one pompous motha fukka...Jim Everette should've really knocked him out back in the day...
