Many of the fans did if you read many of those posts, I doubt Red threw him away. Joe probably needed a new restart. Worked out for him.

I didn't think he fit with what Red said he wanted to do. I was afraid he might hold others back. As it turns out, it was better for him that he left. We were a mess and he got to play in a structured scheme.
