Joel Embiid=Greg Oden

Embiid will be fine. Even if he misses this year he'll still only be 22 years old. With only like what, 4 years of actual basketball playing time?

If you could promise me his foot would never be an i ssue again after this surgery, I think you might be right. He still will have missed 2 key years of development time, but he's a very talented kid. But I'm going to bet the foot will always be an issue for him

If OKC was handling this I could promise you that they would mess up the foot injury and make it worse. But luckily for Embiid he's at philly who can take the time to let him heal correctly because they are in win never mode.

Yeah seems like they r ush everyone back. If anyone is going to get the foot heal, it's definitely Philly. But i just don't know

Tough blow. Kid had some great potential if he had just stayed healthy.

He still has great potential, like it was mentioned already he will be only 22 at the start of the 2016-17 season.

Don't get me wrong, this is a cause for concern for him but he is still very very young and if he can get healthy he will still be very very good.

He'll be young and with very little basketball tread done to his body. I think that is what is going to make sure this kid can recover enough to give meaningful NBA playing time.
