There was nothing he could do about basketball... both the hire itself and for the next three seasons. It was ordained from on high. I complained plenty about the sheer absurdity of that situation, but it wasn't on JW.

I disagree with most of the OP. Wildhack has done a lot of the fundraising and facility upgrades. Been fantastic at that part of being a AD. He has done a terrible job at hiring imo. I was not a fan of the Fran hiring, but I think he has been a positive. It’s by far his best hire to date.
