On Saturday April 11, Syracuse Legend John Desko's name will take its rightful place in the Ring of Honor at the JMA Wireless Dome. Coach Desko becomes the 10th member of the Ring of Honor at Syracuse.

Very well deserved honor for Coach Desko. One of the rare scenarios when the long time assistant takes over for the legendary head coach and arguably exceeds his mentor. He has an amazing run on the hill, all-american player, six titles as head assistant coach and five titles as the head coach. He doesn't get the recent credit he deserves because of the way the tail end of his coaching career closed, but he is realistically and statistically one fo the best college coaches in the history of the game. You can put his accomplishments up against all and very few come close.
