I really think that after Angeli got hurt there was nothing that could work. Different blame game but in all seriousness I think “they should have come up with something” is the wrong problem statement.
When people get hurt in the NFL, you adjust. Yes, the quality of players you have is better, but still, if you lose your quarterback, and the backup doesn't throw as well, you run RPO, you lean on the run game. You install some new plays. There are things you can do. All we saw was a total team breakdown.
