Will he talk about Red, or the ACC's impending implosion?

Stay Tuned...

Im not going to listen to this. These guys have been mocking fans who want a change for weeks. There won't be a single hard question asked during this interview.

Taking a break from Syracuse basketball. This is all too depressing.

Can’t wait to see a guy like Bryan Hodgson get hired and be successful while we wither away further into the abyss.

Sad….its just sad.
Let's hope that with Red coming back for at least (likely) 1 year that JW makes it known to Hodgson's agent (and any other coach's agent he is seriously interested in) that Syracuse is very interested in them so they can decide if the Syracuse job is worth waiting a year for.

Good AD's always say they have a list of potential coaches they would immediately contact if they need to make a coaching hire. Good AD's should know ahead of time who would be interested and likely to come to their school. Good AD's don't start from scratch a coaching search only after an opening occurs.

and we are sure Wildhack is a good AD?

I would love for you to be right on that. But I have a feeling he is going to be highly sought after this offseason. Some schools probably willing to pony up big bucks.

Meanwhile we are giving Red another year only to be inevitably fired when he fails which he will. What big name NIL player will want to play for a lame duck coach and program.

Pull the bandaid off now.

Wildhack said he has expectations for next season.

“The goal of this program is we should be playing meaningful games in March,’’ he said.

When asked specifically what that meant, Wildhack answered, “You know what that means. You should be playing important games in March.’’

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush - anyone worth anything is going to have good enough options this year that "wait a year and maybe Syracuse is a possibility" is basically of no value.

We can try...but I wouldn't expect anyone to pass on firm opportunities now for a "maybe" with us a year from now.

We are an unserious program. We are becoming DePaul.

I've been saying we're on a path to becoming DePaul all year...I'm thrilled to see I'm not alone in that assessment.

Yup this was going to be the outcome as I noted. Do like that he was adamant about expectations and getting this fixed, confirms what I was told, Tourney or gone.
It's good to publicly place expectations on next year but it can also lead to a big disaster if the team is out of the NCAA tourney projections way before March and the coaching staff and players know the program will be blown up.

So if we go 21-14, make the First Four game as an 11 seed, and lose... that's enough to keep his job?

Kind of hope it's better than that. Similar to FB, just because you go 6-6 and make a bowl like Dino did, you can't keep your job.
