Really struggling against Lehigh. 34-20 with about 5 minutes to go in the 1st.

SJU. Bunch of athletes, no shooters, no discipline.

Moe Harkless is a nice looking player.

SJU is young, but they will be decent by the end of the year.

I really don't think John's will be decent by the end of the year ... yes, if the 3 recruits were coming in mid year, but now just 1 will be coming(Garrett 6'6), 1 next year(Pelle 6'10, and would have helped a great deal in size dept.) and the third(Sampson 6'8) may or may not pick SJU next yr... they just have no depth, size and experience ... seriously would not be shocked if they finished last ... more realistically I would say 13th

no coach!
Lavin was coaching tonight ... but wasn't impressed by the Johnnies. Have to agree that Harkless looked good ... An awful lot of foul shots ... an awfullot of misses!!

Agree with Cuse4 here. If you watch them play, they often press and trap and it just appears like an exhausting style to play. That works when you have 10 guys to usher in and out, but they have what? 7 including a walk on? They will also be very susceptible to teams with size, teams who can handle the ball and beat their press, and even a thrown together zone will give them fits because they can’t shoot. Harkless and God’sgift look like good players but not nearly enough for the schedule they’re about to face.

To me, they’re among the easiest Big East matchups on our slate.

I really like Nurideen Lindsey's offensive game. Creative with the ball, seems like a pretty good finisher around the rim.

He's had a rough life - lost 2 brothers (shot) and his best friend to cancer.

Agree, but keep in mind that its not just that they have a newish coach, they also have an entirely new team this yr.

Not worried about them at all.

The Center from Erie CC will cause havoc this year, Watch out Fab

Brennen ESPN "In any case, God's Gift Achiuwa was ... ah, I can't do it. I was going to make a name pun there, but I just can't do it. The point is, he was really, really good: He scored 21 points on 6-of-6 from the field and 9-of-9 from the line and grabbed eight rebounds. That's about as good as you can be in a basketball game. God's Gift is far more than naming novelty, that's for sure." I concur

aren't they expecting 2-3 players possibly later in the year ... found ineligible at the beginning of the school year? They were talking about 1 (memory fart) that would most likely be joining them after January. We may be facing an entirely different team if Ihave this right ... which I probably don't.
