Kiyan and Fennell are freshmen so I’m not relying on them as there will be an adjustment period to get acclimated to the college game. Is George a shooter?

Lots of guys more than capable in that 35 pct range with of course Kingz the 40 plus guy. JJ as a spot up low volume in that mix too. None of it matters if they don’t run good stuff and execute, including getting out on the break.

Hitting 3’s at .333 clip is more than sufficient for a PG.

He needs that to keep defenders honest, which opens up the rest of his game;
and that included leading the ACC in assists last year.

He also improved quite a bit from the FT line, so that bodes well for him being decent from 3 also.

Not everyone on the court has to be a 3pt sniper.
Being able to hit open ones is sufficient.

In some ways our shooting is like last year, a bunch of pedestrian shooters and one sharpshooter... Hopefully Kingz is better this season than Bell was last year.

The big difference is that everybody shoots better when they are given the ball in positions where they can score.

Not having a point guard last year hurt everybody on the offense. George is going to make a huge difference in the team shooting percentage, and that's ignoring the difference that Kingz is currently the player that we wished Bell could some day become...

George shot .339 from 3 last season. He ended the season on an 8 game tear where he shot .389 making 2.4 a game...

Hopefully that's what we see. If we're not going to be a great shooting team, we need to hound teams on defense and get our share of easy buckets.

Well, I think the difference we are. hoping for is that a legit pass-first PG can create better shot opportunities for our guys who have been 33-35% in the past.
