How is Josh doing in practice?

Is his knee holding up?

I'm not holding my breath. Was in "green" no contact jersey. Weight looks to be of the "bad" variety. I hope he takes another year to heal the knee; then, drop back down to 250lb, and gives running back another try.

Thx - such a shame.

I hope he is able to rebuild the knee and get on the field.

Not to pile on but during the ACC road trip saw Hough just behind Babers and yeah doesn't look very good.

I think he obviously can't work out like he did previously so he has put on some weight. I'm assuming its not likely we see him on the field this year. We just need to hope he gets his body healed and then he can get his weight right for future seasons. What is strange is Syracuse.com had a new roster link today that apparently had updated weights and they stated Hough as 250 lbs. I'm assuming that is just a mistake as I still see it as 305 on Cuse.com and we would have heard he was looking thinner if true. I think he was listed at 250 lbs in the past. all of their other weights seemed to match Cuse.com roster weights.

There is zero chance he plays this year

There's a pretty good chance he never plays a snap here.
Idk if I’d go that far. He is certainly continuing to rehab, but obviously had a catastrophic knee injury. I don’t think the extra weight will help. When I saw him he looked like a good sized DT. I don’t think we’ll see him this year, but this kid is built like an elite athlete when in shape. I’m holding out hope for next season.

I hope he gets on the field next year to but just sharing what I had heard.

I sure hope Josh can get healthy and back in prime shape, even at his higher weight. I see him maybe playing a Rino-like role. On the D line, maybe TE and Fullback, and certainly the occasional Refrigerator Perry goal line run. 300 lbs is hard to stop.

Standing on the sidelines he looks like he is 400 lbs. He could’ve cradled Tucker like a baby if he wanted to.

I hope he can overcome whatever he is dealing with. People want to talk about injury and working out but the kid ate his weigh to 300+ lbs. Hope he can get himself on the right path.

That's rough. You're talking about a kid who I bet dreamed of playing professional football one day and put up amazing numbers and wins in HS. He was loyal to Syracuse after having a record breaking Sr season when other schools came calling. I can't imagine what he could have been thinking knowing it's possible your dream was potentially taken away before even playing a snap in college. You never know the dark places you can end up inside your own head.

Is that not what I just said? I feel for the kid and hope he can get back get back on the right path. I really hope he can shake whatever demons be may have and continue his life and football.

It’s his dad, so take it with a grain of salt, however:
