that wasn't in the final four. It was in the elite 8 game. And I hold that against Sampson, not him. He was put in to the game for that.

Yep that was the elite 8 game -can't believe my mind got that screwed up.. And that's true about Sampson - he was just doing what the coach told him to do.

You deserve props for remembering that guy's name, and that incident. I've watched just about every SU basketball game since the mid 70's and I didn't remember either.

The amazing thing about that play was that Melo actually got called for the foul! I think JB was still seething after the game about that truly bizarre piece of reffing.
