Class of 2023 JUCO DT Daniel Tupuola (CA) Offered

His HUDL says 2024 but he is listed him as a sophomore at Mt. San Antonio. Also his twitter states 4 to play 3.

Offers from Concord, Colorado Mesa, Lincoln, Central State, Graceland, Peru St, NC Central, UTPB, Missouri Southern, Fort Lewis, Texas St, Western Illinois, Northern Colorado, Quincy, Syracuse

He moves really well for being 6' 305, he'd be a good pickup.

Impressive offer sheet.
Additional offers from Slippery Rock, Dry Rock, Michael Bublé Sleep Away Camp, Dental College of San Antonio, Podunk U, University of Mars, Vassar, Madame Wongs College of Cosmetology, Trump University. And don’t forget North East Southwestern College. Will be lucky to get him.

Can he play Center?

The title of this post mentions him as a DT, but it looks like he is a Gurd in all of the highlights.

Are there any highlights of him at DT?

You may not recognize them but some of those schools he has offers from are HBCUs.

Serious question...why is an HBCU offer an indicator that he is a solid lid recruit that can play p5?

Sounds like if we stock up on players with this type of offer sheet, we will continue to be in the bottom third of the ACC for the foreseeable future

On the Mount San Antonio website it says he played ( DT ) in 6 games this year I'm sure the staff has some film on him playing ( DT ) also I think he could be looked at as an H - Back ( RHINO ) part2

The kid can definitely tackle there's no doubt about that.

Maybe because in 2021 there were 18 players from HBCUs on NFL rosters?
That's less than 1 per HBCU (21 teams)
There are 130 FCS teams. There are 120 FCS football players on an NFL roster. Doesn't seem like a big difference.
