have we offered? Seems like he would be a great fill in for Diabete at MLB.

247 claims we have - haven't seen that confirmed anywhere else though.

Both Rivals and Scout show that we have offered. Article on the other site says he went to JUCO cause he was lightly recruited, not cause of grades. Also says he can leave this year and have 4 years to play 3.

He will be a January enrollee. Will have 3.5 years to play 3 years of eligibility (redshirted his frosh year of JUCO). Looks like an impressive athlete.

According to his coach he grey-shirted his frosh year which means he still has his redshirt year if needed. I agree he does look like a very good athlete. I am so accustomed to see LBs come in at ~200 to 210 lbs and then start playing in the 220 range. He is starting at the 230 and looks it - with good speed and pursuit (in his videos). I like him.

Would have thought he would be MLB material with that size and speed but looks like he is being looked at for OLB. Diabate was good this year but often had trouble getting off the blocks and just think he was too small.

Must be he wanted to stay closer to home, because they sure don't play any defense at Oregon. :D
what oregon games did you watch this year? they have a very good, underrated defense. just because they score a lot doesnt mean their defense sucks.

Pac-12 joke.

That's too bad, looked like a solid prospect.

Anyone else getting concerned about the LB position next year?

I'm so concerned enough about the future of the MLB position that I once started a thread about moving Ashton to MLB! That post didn't go over too well.

Something has to happen there, but even if you look at the worst case scenario of moving Spruill back to the middle, then starting Davis and Lynch at OLB, though that's just a one-year solution, I think we'll be okay for 2013. It's beyond 2013 that has me concerned.

What about Washington? I think he would be ideal ...

I'd leave Spruill and Davis where they are and give Lynch a shot at MLB. Very good speed and he has more bulk (220-plus as a true soph) than either MS or DD. He is also a very smart kid and shouldn't have problems making calls.

malik brown mentioned he might move to MLB.

We are also recruiting two other JUCOs to play MLB.

I thought I read somewhere (probably here) that the coaches really liked him.

Calling bnoro...

I got nothing on Washington haha. Thought he was going to be used as a hybrid LB/DE when we recruited him though, so probably not MLB material. My guess is Cam Lynch or Spruill back inside.

LOL fast response ... keep it up or we're getting you a pager :)

Makes sense. Unless Coker seizes the MLB position [which I suppose is possible], moving Spruil inside makes sense. He already played there, and that would enable them to get the top three LBs on the field at the same time [Lynch, Davis, Spruill].
