Although I have no idea, my bet would be that this is more about Eddie O churning the roster to open spots and not an exodus of "talent."

Valentine is talented but a lot of trouble. He was kicked off the team more than once.

I'm not sure how Willie Allen is even eligible. He Redshirted at LSU in 2016/2017 Year, Played in 5 games at Tyler JC in 2017/2018 year, played in 12 and then 13 games at Louisiana Tech 2018/2019 year and 2019/2020 year, transferred to Michigan for 2020/2021 year but didn't play (COVID year he sat out) and then transferred to UMass for 2021/2022 year and played in 1 game for UMass. That's 4 years where he played and he already burned a redshirt.
