Hoping he can be a Meeks type guy. I think that’s the role Ross was slated for if he stuck around.

You still don’t have enough board points. I just looked and you’re only at 7,750. Gotta have at least 20,000
We are in the same “join” class of 2011! Does that count for something?

Someone mentioned him in another thread and I said “who?” Yeesh, completely forgot about him. After taking another look at his tape…this dude is really, really good. Looks like WR1 our best receiver good.
You have to take the competition into account but yeah cautiously optimistic here.

Anyone have the story about why he never seemed to catch a pass at Boise over 3 years? Great that he blossomed as a juco but it's not like Boise is fielding a Big Ten or SEC team.

It appears that he did the following
2022 - Redshirt
2023 - Injury bug
2024 - Boise St had a stacked WR room

Not sure how accurate it is just what I've gathered

Seems a big part of not getting a shot is injuries. Here is a blurb about him heading into the 2024 season

Boise State Roster Countdown 2024: Day 84, Zamondre Merriweather - First Kick Was Good

Excerpt from the link:

Career Highlights

He has yet to see the field in college, and there are whispers that he’s been bitten by the injury bug once or twice so far.

2024 Prospectus

A year ago, I wrote he had a chance to play a bit from the get go and see his snaps increase as the season went on. However, the opposite actually happened and Zamondre did not play. This year, the wide receiver room looks stacked, assuming everyone stays healthy anyway. Latrell Caples, Austin Bolt, Prince Strachan, Cam Camper, Chris Marshall, and Chase Penry will be the top six in some order. It’s going to be hard for Merriweather to see the field unless there is an injury, and he’s going to have to stay healthy himself. Hopefully, this is the year he can finally get the field, perhaps on special teams or during garbage time. He is definitely talented enough, but now needs a combination of health and opportunity to showcase that talent.
