With SU down to 2 healthy QBs does Troy Green switch Back and become our third. (If Broyld is still out ). things could get out of hand.

I would imagine we will see Kimble at some point as well, at that point Broyld would be emergency as he should be back in a week or two.

Yeah, I think what Lester was saying about Kimble was that the back injury put him behind the other QBs. But he named him as one of the backups should it get there, so I don't think at this point the back is preventing him from taking the field.

Let's hope we don't end up walking a few days in Randy Edsall's 2012 shoes. I recall some here actually blasting him for how bad his offense was when looking at total year 2012 stats. Before October ended, they were on their 5th string QB, who was a true freshman linebacker.

Broyld would have been one of the back ups I assume and fate has dealt him a tough break.

I would guess we get Hunt back for the last two games. No idea yet when Wilson returns.

I don't expect Wilson to miss much, if any time.

And unless I missed something Kimble's back issue was during camp.

Kimble being able to provide a legit backup would be huge. I had visions of Maryland from last year...

Good to hear about Wilson. I've been scouring the board / Syracuse newspaper looking for updates, and been worried about the lack of information.

Wherefore art thou, John Kinder?

Let me just say that Long looked a lot bigger in-person. I feel a bit more comfortable with him now. Kimble is a friggin giant! I bet he has a cannon.

Well played. There was one moment where Long was standing next to Hickey. Based on size, they didn't even look to be the same species.

I think we will see Kimble some this week if Wilson isn't ready to go

I knew a kid who went to UNH and was their 5th string quarter back going into his freshman year. A few games into the season with injuries and disciplinary issues he found himself the starter, which he kept for his full four year ultimately ending up 3rd on the all time passing yards list, and 3rd all time for touchdowns thrown in 1-AA.

Odds of that happening are as low as they get, but occasionally running through your depth chart can land in a decent place.

I have a feeling AJ will play the entire game this Saturday. The way Shafer and Kimble talk about him I think they have a high degree of confidence in him. I also think if he does well, he is the guy going forward. It will be his job to lose.

Yeah, I'd like to see him get some run and see what he can bring to the table.

From my conversation with one of the coaches Saturday, I think Kimble's back is still bothering him.

Come to think of it, I vaguely recall seeing Hickey on a Sasquatch ("Squatch") show recently.
