Where SU goes into a coma and loses to a mid major that doesn't have 10% of our talent. Our guys were totally asleep the last 10 minutes of the game. If the game went another 3 minutes we lose. Did CJ and BT have like 104 degree fevers tonight? What was going on?

I think BT was hurt for sure. He would've been on the floor... hope he's okay for Saturday...this game was awful and our offense was putrid. Are we going to go the whole year and not try to develop a post game?

Makes ya wonder what the big men work on in practice every day... Really, how hard is it to develop at least 1 post move as a big man? Get the ball on the post, back em down, give a few fakes, up 'n under, hook shot... SOMETHING. Or do they just work on alley-oops in practice?

This offense has struggled in the half court for the last two seasons and will continue to do so until we can move the ball inside and out. Fab is a pretty good passer and has shown some signs of that little baby hook. MCW is the only guard that looks to make that pass.

if the game went on another 20 minutes, we don't lose. They hit a few shots at the end of the game.

well, Rick developed that patented baby hook and the up and under move. But no one on this team has developed anything. Baye showed flashes against the cupcakes. Poor Baye--he might be related to Roberto Duran...Hands of Stone.

The Guards do not know how to feed the Post...

That's certainly part of it, but I'd say it's MORESO because they know Fab, Xmas, and Keita won't know what to do with it. So why bother dumping it down low when they could fumble the ball or turn it over...Fab has his fleeting moments this yr, but nothing refined.

It's not like you hear JB complaining or yanking the guards for lack of feeding the post.

So again I ask, what do the bigs do in practice?

Good point. It's clearly not a point of emphasis. (Which is too bad, I think - a consistent post presence would do wonders for the half-court offense.)

At worst, Fab needs to develop a baby hook.

Bingo. If they throw it down to the bigs theyll either turn it over or pass it right back out to the guards.

We gotta start knocking down some 3's. We're getting good looks, most of the shots look good in the air, theyre just rimming out right now.

We aren't a lights-out perimeter shooting team. Too inconsistent from game-to-game. And were still not sure JS can hit a 3 when he plays outside of the Dome. Our offense has clearly stagnated against decent competition (62, 69, 69, and 72 pts - against the only 4 decent opps. this yr). Thank god for the steals and transition game - it's the only thing saving us from a What loss. We can't solely rely on perimeter shooting to have a remote shot at a national championship, unless we decide to switch to a 3 guard lineup like a Fla-style or Nova-style. Compare this team to our past great teams for a post presence and you'll see the glaring void missing for this yr.

2010 obviously had the potential (AO, RJ)
2003 (Melo, Warrick)
1996 (Wallace, Hill)
1987 (Coleman, Seikaly)
