Just thought this was an insane stat

That team had numerous guys who could take it into the lane...and they were as likely to pass to an open man. I bet ~50% of our buckets were assisted, which I'd guess is double what this year's team does in ACC play. (Sigh)

That game we had 17 assists on 31 FGM.

We shot 57% from the floor and were 26 of 32 from the FT line.

We're not even playing the same sport anymore.

For the season in 2014, we were at 49.1%, so good guess. Though that was 242nd in the country. 47.6% this year.
Back in 2014, when Syracuse beat duke to go to 21-0 they shot 4 3s the entire game and scored 91 (including OT), insane.

That is crazy, kinda like when I look at 80s nba box scores and teams put up 120-130 with 4 or 5 3pa.

Funny because for the season the team wasn’t very good at shooting. 229th in effective fg%, 213th on twos, 222nd on threes.

The energy in the dome that day was unmatched. Duke was extremely small that year and when their last big man fouled out, Jerami Grant started absolutely abusing his defender on the block. Such an exciting team, it was too bad the way they fizzled out to end the season.

They were exciting at times especially in Maui and vs Duke but also a bit frustrating to watch at times too for how many wins they had to grind out as well at times vs weaker opponents. Obviously id take 25 1 pt wins in a row a million times over vs the current mess.

I actually remember K said after the game they were hoping to trade 3s for 2s and they couldn't get shots over Grant and Grant got a dunk on them every possession so they traded zeroes for 2. Or something very close to that.
