Just another horrible take here. “I love the Pitt soccer team but I'd be in favor of dropping the program entirely if that meant we can spend more on a big time basketball coach

The one thing they have done right is hire coaches.

Dixon was as good as Howland and they righted Stallings with Capel.

I can't really think of a btter coach for a run of the mill program like them than Capel. I just read that forum for a couple mins and no they don't hate Capel.

I’d have no quarrel w/ Dixon coming here- he’s a very good coach who’d kill it in recruiting for SU back on his NE turf.
I’ve never understood why hating Pitt players should translate into hating a HC. Dixon has always seemed like a decent guy, very competitive, and got the most out of those Pitt teams that he could.
I’ve hated Pitt teams but honestly, they were never a MAJOR rival a’ la GTown or UConn- just overachievers.
And the irony of SU fans hating on another program’s HC is not lost on me, since JB has never been the warm&fuzzy type. But i guess since he’s OUR jerk, that makes it ok.

To each their own and I'm sure he's a good guy but there's just something about him when he played us that made my blood boil! Lol...for me its a toss up between Dixon and Slick Rick that made me want to throw my remote through the TV! Hurley sucks too but he doesn't bother me as much because like I said, he sucks! Your right about JB not being the warm and fuzzy type...and honestly outside of the Syracuse fan/cny area JB doesn't have a very good rep. Most college basketball fans seem to dislike him.

Ha ha ha nope, but he did get the opportunity to go to Maui his senior year with the team. Trust me, if you had a son who had such a great opportunity, you would think differently.....please remember, it’s only a game.
