Just watched 5 seconds of...

ACC Network highlights for our game on YouTube. Stopped as soon as I realized they started the highlights from Tucker's second td run. How on Earth do you leave out his first highlight reel td run from a 3 minute clip!?! So done with this conference...
Taking so personally a mild oversight by one or two people trying to rush through edits of 6 full games sounds far more like a you problem than an ACC problem.

It's not just that single instance. The constant bias in refereeing, the constant Bojangles commercials. Have you seen the ACC Network football promo? We have like 2 seconds worth of screen time; even after 50 years of membership, we will still be viewed as outsiders in this conference...

That's an odd collection of teams.
Except for UCF and Houston, the others are all familiar schools for us. Those two grant us a road trip and foothold in fertile recruiting territories, as well as tv screens.

Syracuse
Penn State
Notre Dame
Louisville
Pitt
BC
Maryland
Rutgers
West Virginia
UCF
Cincinnati
Houston

Let's make it happen...

I could not imagine a conference I would less want to be in.

Please remove UConn.

Mr. Burton can play in a reconstituted Yankee Conference.

1. It is hard to get to 10 teams without them. The other options are UMass, Buffalo, Marshall.

2. They make a BBall side a lot better.

I'm on the 8 X 10 train. Each conf plays 9 games. Keep them regional. 8 team playoff. Or go crazy and do 16 team.

80 teams gives 15 more schools access to FBS. That's plenty.

My vote for our league:

Syracuse
ND (a little out of region, but need another anchor)
Penn State
BC
Pitt
WV
Maryland
Temple
Rutgers
Army

I'd prefer VT, but they're permanently attached to UVA now, who's permanently attached to UNC.

If ND didn't work, would have to go Navy.

None of it will happen though unless they centralize the money. I don't see that happening. Ever.

Really it would only be centralizing the national TV contracts. During conference season you only have 5 games a week. Three go to your conference network and 1-2 go to ESPN/ABC, FOX, NBC, CBS. If the conferences sold their Tier 1 as one package, and paid their schools more based on number of times on TV (like European soccer does), then I would suspect that the big schools would be about the same financially. The losers in this would be the bad B1G/SEC schools who would get a lot less money from Tier 1 (Indiana, Vandy, etc).

8 conferences of 10 is really hard to do. That 8th conference will have a team like Houston or UCF as its anchor. A lot better with 7 x 11 or 7 x10.

The ACC is exactly where SU should be. Best Hoops conference, best lax conference. Great home for the other sports.

East coast focused, largest collection of mid-sized urban universities (mostly private) with a handful of state U's mixed in. Most competitive footing that covers SU's key recruiting areas.

The ACC network in my opinion does a pretty good job of putting the spotlight on each school.
They have been to campus with Packer and Durham.
Players, coaches, and AD have been on it.
Also lots of non revenue sports get showcased.
It would see counterproductive to have them not show all the schools.

You are being a bit too sensitive. We haven't exactly set the world on fire in this league. As we get more success, if we get more success, you will see us get more favorable coverage. That is just the law of the land. We haven't done anything to justify elite status in this league.

No the match up had no juice. come on.
It's the only famous college arena that had that level of updating this year. That alone should have made it a significant TV game, doing something this extensive and expensive should be something the conference appreciates and promotes. They air a lot of weak games every week,no one knows how any of the teams are going to do this season. I do think the dome looks impressive from the inside and is a huge upgrade, fwiw.

The rest of the viewing ACC public wasn't yearning to see the Dome improvements. We were And we got to see them on the RSN. The problem was, after showing the Dome improvements, they would have to show our game. And not many wanted to see that.

You think the Bojangles commercials are an effort to send a message that we don't belong? You don't know how ad sales work.

I'm not sure that a commercial or marketing has ever worked on me the way Bojangles has. I will definitely eat at one if I ever come across it in the wild.
Watching ACC coverage has taught me to seek out fast food whenever I'm south of Maryland. (It's not something I usually eat.)

Bojangles biscuits are worth a visit. Zaxby's chicken is better.

Make sure you try your luck with the North Carolina Educational Lottery as well.

Now Mellow Mushroom? Two thumbs up. And only a 25-minute drive to the near west side of the CLE for me.

I don't think I have ever been bothered by commercials the way some people on this board are. I can hit the mute button or change the channel for 30 seconds if it bothered me THAT much.

Agreed (plus Miami & b-ball/lax-only and minus dead weight)

Miami instead of UCF would be great. More history with them; and, better academics, recruiting territory.

If a new roof on the stadium is the biggest selling point between a 1-1 and an 0-2 team, that game deserves to be on RSN.
How long do you and Dasher figure it will take for the rest of the country to know about the very significant improvements made to the Dome? Too long is the answer. I would think being a partner in this league would be of some help, but as I said before, the ACC only cares about the revenue the NY market can deliver not Syracuse sports.

Did you know Arizona State, Iowa, BYU, and Missouri all finished renovations to their stadiums in 2019? Me either. You know why? Because I'm not a fan of any of those teams and do not care.
