Just watched the condensed game and noticed a couple of things

• We used the middle of the field in the passing game a whole lot more than we have and were again successful almost every time we did. If Nykeim holds onto the tunnel screen pass and the Defender doesn't get a PI on the Hackett play in the middle of the field, might be 2 more Touchdowns for us.
• Thought the DL didn't help much in the running game
• Cody Roscoe might have been our most active D-Linemen.
• Not only did Hanna almost end up w/ 2 INT's-He really tackled well. Better than some of our more experienced guys

To be fair, it was just the condensed game, but that's what jumped out to me

if the Ends do a better job on setting the edge in the run game the D would have been solid most of the game.. There were some middle runs that seemed to be an issue but just to hard on the replays to really tell what was up with that..

When the line blocks it opens up plenty of things ! Dino did an outstanding job this bye week first they put in some different type of throws and variations which I can’t say but am giddy about . I’ll know if we are using some based on this weeks game plan/practice
Also tons of reps for the underbelly of the team . Valluable experiences and evaluation
Losing the spring hurt us in that regard . Hopefully we play a bowl game as well mote practices. I also hope a tall wr emerges I saw so many big WRs yesterday making plays on average balls . Leaping , jumping , abusing

We certainly have some coming in. Whether or not they are good enough to play early or not don't know.

Unfortunately I do not feel playing the tall receivers will matter. The thing I noticed yesterday from the games of the qbs that we have to play is that they continued to go through their progressions looking down field. Even when flushed out of the pocket and heading to the sideline they were still trying to make plays down field. I saw Brice from Duke have to scramble ducking and weaving and still trying to make plays. I thought if that was TD he’d been sacked already.
We can change the wide receivers but if they are not the first read and wide open or Taj TD will not throw the ball.
After watching the games yesterday I came to the sad realization that we will not be able to score enough points with TD to win. As a die hard fan I will continue to watch every game. I just feel it’s going to be similar frustration as when I watched in the Robinson era. I hope I am wrong but it just feels that way.

Alford was in the group wearing just jerseys before the GT game. Which I assume makes him one of the walking wounded.

Agree he has to be willing to trust the receivers more down the field and try to keep his head up when under pressure. A long pick is like a punt, anyway.
