doesn't his return suddenly make a decent offensive line a darn good one?

Teams can no longer attack the right side the way they have been the past 2 games. With Hickey at RT it should significantly improve the run game as well as give Nassib more time. It should also give the staff more options in terms of plays they can use

We could very easily be 3-1 right now so I'm not giving up hope quite yet. SU can still beat any one left on the schedule.

Certainly makes the OL better. Shifts the weakest link from RT to RG. Hopefully Foy/Trudo will improve each week, and the Minny game will just be a blip on the radar.

Let's hope so.

We could be 0-4, too.

Do we even know if Pugh is definitely back for Pitt?

Yes i thought HCDM said it during his presser today. Also on Syracuse.com

The oline has been decent to good all year. Lest hope that the addition of Pugh will be the final piece of the puzzle for what has been a good offense

SU has been in every game and even dominated some of them. This team still looks much better then last years despite the record. Let's hope this year is the opposite of last year. Let's hope it's a strong second half of the year.

I don't know about "darn good," but it does remove the weakest link from the OL and replaces him with a much better player.

With Reddish back for Pitt (hopefully), maybe the next meaningful substitutions IMO would be to try get Morgan, Eskridge and Desir more playing time (over Wilkes, Anderson, Lyn?).

Finally, really need more size at LB. Not sure where that will come from...there aren't really many choices on the roster. Unless someone with some speed gets moved from DE.

Esk should be starting over Wilkes. Really arent any downsides to that. I cringe when I see Anderson isolated during one of our blitz schemes.

I totally agree. I do, however, think Lyn has played well when given the opportunity. I have a feeling that the coaches really like Anderson's tackling ability. He's not afraid to stick his nose in and mix it up.

I really, really wish we had a MLB that that other teams feared. Maybe it's time to give Coker a shot...or move Spruill back and insert Vaughn.

I realize he doesn't project at MLB but whatever happened to Vigille? The staff raved about him last year.

Unfortunately they are going to be tested by the Pitt receivers who have torn it up the last two games. I have never been a big fa of Sunseri but he seems to have found his groove.

Here's hoping. The OL has been very solid all year--and a huge step forward than in the previous 7 years or so. But Saturday's game was a huge step BACKWARDS for this unit, and it wasn't just Lou Alexander.

Bad performance from the OL. They'd given up--what, a mere 3 sacks heading into last Saturday's game? I think Minnesota might have had 6 sacks.

Pugh can't get back soon enough. We could have used him on Saturday.

Minnie had their best guy on our worst and it mattered. Before that there was just an occasional problem, (which always seemed to involve #77).

I may be wrong but I get the feeling Lyn's shoulder still isn't 100%.
