even if we don't land wiggins, being in his top 3 choices would be good for the program. other hs kids will see that SU is a serious contender for the best players, and will possibly give SU a look based simply on that.
 
and my point about cal was that he has the ability to swoop in late a steal recruits. most high school kids want uk and cal to recruit them, whether or not they even consider uk their dream school, they feel they are really on the map once uk gets involved in their recruitment. so if SU could pull this off sometime in the near future, swoop in late and land a heavyweight recruit, it could mean that the orange are starting to earn blue blood-like respect and stature.
