Tommy, don't drink at the game. It affects your judgement.

Don't know how much he can give SU. He only played 10 minutes COMBINED in February and March despite St. John's having six scholarship players. Sounds like an older Moyer.

We need a backup forward. An older Moyer would be perfect.

10 minutes though - Yikes

checked out the St Johns board. General consensus was that he was a great kid but never developed into his 4* potential coming out of high school. Had a decent game against SU in December with a few points and rebounds. Was a good shot blocker but not much of a scorer. Didn't get a lot of minutes with St Johns and one person indicated he would do well at the MAC level.

Clearly he is a one year project that probably would not come in expecting much in the way of minutes. Off the bench kind of player that could give SU some depth and insurance at the forward position. If they see Hughes as a good fit at forward, he might be an OK addition but no one to get too excited about. Probably too late to get a P5 kind of player so makes sense to wait till '19 to get the kind of forward that SU really wants.

his numbers as a sophomore are not eye popping but better than last year - started 30 of 33 games (played in all of them), averaged 20 mpg and put up 8 and 6.

perfect Boeheim guy, can come to SU and play 40 mpg and average 16 and 12!

Seems like he is pretty much what we need and all we can expect at this point. We just need a forward that isn't a walk on or complete project that could fill in for 5 mins a game and/or could at least function in case one of our forwards were to get injured. Sure Hughes can go up to the 3 and Sidibe can drop to the 4 but it would be real nice to have a 3rd natural forward on the roster, not really asking a lot there.

They've grabbed 3 commits in 3 days and they all blow
Yeah none are overally impressive. Ollie always could recruit but not coach - let’s swwcif Hurley can grab a big class next year

Although Hurley should get way more out of this kid than Mullin did
