Shafer was HC material, had a system in place the players already knew, it was a proven system based on previous stops in addition to his work at SU. People can always convince themselves that "something" makes a lot of sense by just adding up the positives. The fact is, like Shafer, Lewis has no HC experience. Nobody knows how he will do in that situation so it's not an unrealistic question.
