Wednesday afternoon LIVE, I have to watch the Mildcats practicing on ESPNU...

Does ESPN do this with other schools during the season?

Did practice begin with boosters handing out this week's cash to the players?

Actually it started last week with Coach Cal handing out cash to the reporters. ;)

how is that not a recruiting advantage?

the stands were also quite full-almost like a open prctice

Daryl Gross needs to get on the horn & make this kind of stuff happen for the CUSE.

No, the NCAA needs to get on the horn and stop this kind of blatent recruiting bs.
It's not a recruiting violation. Much as it pains me to say it, props to Kentucky for getting themselves the exposure.

I don't remember anyone here whining when ESPNU came to Syracuse for a few days of football practices and aired behind the scenes meetings.

This isn't going to sway one recruit.

Rules change. This does not do anything to promote academics or any athletic competition other than Kentucky's. The fact that Calipari actually sought out ESPN is even worse.

If SU did this I would be ashamed and embarrassed. If they did it locally and put it on local TV it would be cool, but these cheap national media attention-seeking tricks are on the level of car salesmen.
