GT by the way was preseason ranked 9th in the ACC, So Richmond, Kansas and GT. Up next is Notre Dame on Saturday who was preseason #12 in the ACC. How low will Kentucky go?

hopefully very low. the ncaa needs to eliminate the 1 and done model. an education should be the most important thing.

shameful that schools like unc, g-town, duke and other participate in this. real kids get turned away from those schools with 4.0 and a high sat. sadly they'll take a student with a rock bottom academic record if they can play basketball at a high level

I can’t tell if you’re serious

how would you like the ncaa to eliminate the 1 and done?

They'll round into form. BJ Boston is a huge and talented guard that has all the makings of a star

"Schadenfreude is a complex emotion where, rather than feeling sympathy, one takes pleasure from watching someone's misfortune."
I don't find it that complex. It makes me happy when Calipari/Kentucky lose.

They could reinstate the limit of 5 new players every year. This wouldn't eliminate the problem but it would help.

what if a bunch of players transfer?

not sure on logistics but its gotta be harder to transfer out if schools only got 5 slots per year

then have to change the rules for coaches changing schools as well. Lots to figure out for this to work. I’d rather wait for nbapa to figure it out. Will be sooner or later

Boston is selfish, a poor shooter and has shown no interest beyond renting a year to get to the NBA... UK isn't rounding into form with how poor their guard play is. Not this year.

We'll see

Not even their fans share your optimism for them.
For UK this is 2012-2013 again for them maybe even worse.

Say you want about Boston but his talent jumps off the screen. I like Sarr and Jackson in the frontcourt. They'll be dancing, if anyone is

Talent isn't their problem. They just don't have a leader or the bball iq you need. The 12-13 team had as much talent but the same problem. Askew is a major dissappointment.

Also with CoVid now it puts even more pressure and less time for them to get it figured out. Even Calipari has already all but said this year is going to be tough for them. He knows.

Askew looks like a bum but we're talking about the youngest team in the country that has only played 4 games and gave Kansas a game

The same Kansas that barely survived NDSU after playing UK. Again the talent is undeniable but as a team they look like garbage. There is just no glue to bring these guys together. The real obvious cue was how Calipari basically prepared UK fans in advance apologizing for his scheduling. They need time, practice and a normal OOC to come together.

This year is going to be one where having experience plays a huge role if CoVid doesn't flatline the season.. right now it's real close to forcing a national pause.

looks like UNC 2019 team.
Watch - they'll figure it out, come together, and make an NCAA Tourney run.

Please remember "1 and done" is caused by the NBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Players Assn. It's not an NCAA rule. They can try to "punish" leaving early by requiring the scholarship remain vacant for the 4 years, but that's about all they can do.

This is what happens when you turn over 90 pct of your team and rely on one and dones every year, somethings the chemistry works, other times it doesn't. You need roleplayers and upper classmen too.
