Kevin Jones offensive game...

Yeah, Wallace had the shot-blocking but not a bad comparison. By the way, Jones' drop-step is League-ready.

I think he is another Sam young. Decent shooter and a freaking beast on the boards.

I don't remember Jones having this kind of motor earlier in his career. Huggy has lit a fire under his ass. I think he'll do well in the NBA too. He'll have a long career.

Also played second fiddle to desean butler for 2 years.

gonna be the contrarian in this thread. I don't see any aspect of his game that translates to the NBA. He's developed into a solid college player, and as someone pointed out, its his motor that gets it done. But a great motor and his skills gets you a nice career in Europe. He doesn't have an NBA position. And for all his greatness, he doesn't make big shots, nor can he create off the dribble.

True. Good point. And I also think Huggins told him to take charge this year. I think he'll be a top 15 pick.

His drop-step translates. His rebounding positioning and physique translate. And he has a decent mid-range game. His rebounding alone will give him a long career. He won't be a star.

Yep he certainly has the ability. I wish we had him!

I tend to agree with Jake. Great college player with that "motor" and tenacity. A drop-step dosn't do you much in the NBA if you can't create. Look at Wes. He's also not big enough like a Kenneth Faried to be a NBA PF which is his natural position, imo.

I see no reason why Jones can't be Carlos Boozer.

His drop step? He's 6-6. How on earth is he going to use that drop step against 6-9 PF's in the NBA?

He's Mike Glover with a much better jumpshot. He'll make a lot of money in Europe, maybe a cup of coffee in the NBA. But that's about it.

Good comparison but what may separate them is their defense, I loved Wallace but he was a no man to man defense guy in the NBA. I don't know enough of Jones man to man defense to comment.
