How hard is it to get a kid to come in and be a kick off only specialist. Most teams can find a walkon, if not it's worth burning a schollie for field position? Teams starting drives at the 20 vs. the 35/ 40

I thought Ross did fairly well at Louisville, but obviously the groin was still sore against UConn. It's not just the kicks though; it's the poor downfield coverage. They say that in college to solve your special teams woes, put the starters in. Does anyone know how many starters on on the kickoff and punt coverage?

Well then lets get a big ole hoss like Janikowski that can tackle too

Get to go to a fair amout of NU games and they have specialist, usually walkons who 50% of the time kick it where it cant be returned. Agree does not fix everything but if you kick it 5 yards deep or out of endzone no chance of special teams breakdows. Again, just limits the chance for issues.

most teams are not kicking off that well.. watch more games.. some big time BCS schools are really struggling to kick off..

did you watch toledo last week when both schools gave up kicking off because of runback issues..

Kickoffs won't be an issue next season.

I love the cryptic post. No sarcasm, two weeks ago a few guys posted that Marrone had said at the luncheon that recruiting was done. I love searching around and waiting to find out who. Do you think the kick off specialist will be a walk on or someone who gets a scholarship?
