Even when JJ is back. He’s the better player. He’s longer and puts the ball on the floor better than Kingz. And is getting better every time he steps on the floor (even defensively). Nothing against Kingz, but we don’t owe him the starting spot. And no, I’m not just saying this because Kingz isn’t really shooting well.

That all depends on defense. Kingz was locking down his man and handling rotations and playing through screens every minute he was on the floor. JJs minutes will be most impacted by how well he defends and is efficient offensively.

When Nate finds his rhythm playing in the Dome his ability to hit the 3 and do more than just be a shooter while continuing to improve and excel as a defender is a huge asset

I’d like to see Kings come off the bench. Perhaps it will take some pressure off and he might perform better.

Kingz isn’t sitting the bench guys. He actually had a track record before coming here greater than a 2 game sample size. I know it’s hard for the board to understand.

A lot of folks look too much at the box score and the obvious stuff. Kingz put on a defensive clinic out there while not once letting his shot being a bit strong take away from his effort on that side of the ball.

All too often you see guys slack when it’s not going as well on offense. Guys like Cooney and Triche used to draw unnecessary heat on this board while they played great defense and worked their asses off.

Yup. He was a big part of the other team only putting up 43. He plays hard and his shots will fall.

What? Kiyan isn’t a 1 star player. And I don’t think there are many that think Kingz is the better player

Wouldn’t we rather have Kiyan locked in before teams like Houston? We’re going to need him. We’re going to struggle to score in the half court.

I didn’t say he was, but Kingz does a lot more than score and even so he has had big games against tourney teams. All of this tells me is we should not accept JJ playing 35 mpg going forward.

I’m one of JJ’s biggest defenders, but Kiyan is just so smooth. Moten-esque. I just didn’t think he’d be this good this soon. I thought he’d need more time to adjust. If he can play like this in Vegas, I don’t disagree with what you say about JJ, but I still think he will be key. Kingz is gonna be fine once he gets used to shooting in the Dome. He’s going to be a vital role player and one of our best shooters. I like his grit and ability to do more than shoot. He’s so much more versatile than Chris Bell.

Coupling this with the apparent glaring hole at pg2, JJ running the second unit could be a good mesh. His play style against opposing second units defenses may be a really good matchup for us on a lot of nights well.
