Should be a breeze to win out...
Should be a breeze to win out...
After we smoke Houston in the opener, it's going to feel easy.Should be a breeze to win out...
I bet Melo has a friendly chat with Kelvin Sampson about the goon squad hit job he got in Albany by the no-name foreign dude. There are 18 teams playing.

Plus I would think they prevent conference matchups, such as us playing Notre Dame.Could someone explain how this format works? 18 teams playing two games to determine a championship game and 3rd place game. Do they just take the teams that won 2 games and use scoring differential to determine the top 2 teams? Seems like a weird format
I get he has the name recognition, but was still surprised that he’s representing ’Cuse over Donnie or JJ on the Players Era page.

I’m usually getting something like “ What the heck has happened to you guys?”Non-Syracuse basketball fans who start converstaions about the team with me always start with something like "they got Melo's son right?"
6 (well 5 now) of 18 teams have the coach on thereIs Red the only coach missing?
I think you're reading it wrong. Or at least missing one sentence. Namely, "Additional men's matchups will air Nov. 26 and Nov. 27 based on the first two days of competition." I'd imagine 3rd day games are guaranteed, but outside of the finals and 3rd place game, the rest of the matchups are just chosen by tv execs.
yea but they want matchups for TV. every team is guaranteed three games per this article (and many others).Thanks. The thing is, there's no actual bracket that I've been able to find.
So maybe there won't be third games for everybody - it costs money to open an arena.
I don’t think there is a bracket. but there is going to be some network decisions going on around the semis because you can definitely have more than 4 teams at 2-0Thanks. The thing is, there's no actual bracket that I've been able to find.
