So happy we beat these jerks. The coverage during the game was sickening -- a Clemson infomercial practially from beginning to end. The announcers came around -- eventually -- but I am so sick of hearing about how Klubnik was a Heisman contender, the speech Dabo gave this week.

To hell with that entire program / entitled fanbase.

At least their mascot helped Gill get up after his touchdown.

I’ve always felt Dabo was a good guy. Not a D bag coach like some others. I know he won’t throw his qb under the bus but he should come out and say the coaches did not make the same observations. Hopefully he calls Fran and apologizes on behalf of his qb. Not a good look to nfl front offices to whine after a loss.

I agree but I'd be fine if he handled it internally. I know we love to debate whether or not these are 'kids', but the reality is that this is a learning opportunity for Cade, and Dabo is a great teacher.

That is an awesome photo. Lots of posters here have been telling very positive stories about interactions with Clemson fans. I admit, I've said I've hated Clemson more times that I can count, but that probably came from jealousy. Dabo can be irritating some times, but it's clear he is loyal to the program and it seems like his players love and respect him like our guys love and respect Fran.

Klubnik leaning on the fake injuries thing seems like a hurt, frustrated, and embarrassed kid looking for an excuse to cover up all those feelings.

To be fair, he has a point. It seems to happen every single college game now. I was screaming at the Tennessee guys down in Atlanta for doing the same thing. It's pretty obvious when it's going on, and really freaking annoying.

21 pts and 363 yds on 60 attempts is poor. SU played great situational defense with the lead.

Didn’t we only do it like two or three times? And it was all our DL who have a tendency to cramp up. It’s a physical sport. I wasn’t even surprised to see it happen with TN the first game of the year.

All I can say about injuries are guys on D get hurt when the pace of play increases.😉. And I’m not sure how time outs can be added to the complaint.

Louisville has always been terrible with the faking injuries.

I was able to watch majority of the game yesterday and I honestly don't recall that many injury stoppages or ones that looked remotely suspect. We have a lot of guys banged up but I'm curious what Klondike bar thinks he saw aside from finding any excuse he can. Sucks to suck

Yeah Klubnik is disappointed after a loss and is redirecting. All teams will have a player drop when needed including Syracuse. At the Tennessee game Samuel was literally walking after a play and got a signal from someone and just dropped...as did another player. I think in t Clemson game we had 2 guys drop again. It happens. Everyone does it. It's like blaming Refs for losing though.

What does Klubnik do well? He looks like a career back-up suddenly dropped into a role he can't handle. Every game.

I don't know if we were faking or not. It just seems pretty conspicuous overall throughout the college game. Shoot, I've seen, and I'm sure you have, too, guys jogging back to the huddle and then suddenly drop like they got shot.

We definitely have signals for it.

You are in South Carolina. In September. With enough heat and humidity that there were thunderstorms in the area. How can anyone be surprised that defensive linemen who are having to do sprints due to a hurry up offense are getting cramps in their legs?

Good moment to note I can’t remember a player of ours having that kind of pity party in a press conference. I don’t want to call anyone out but I really can’t remember a player doing that.

Lots of respect for Dabo building a championship program with seemingly very little if any scumbag tactics. I also admire his anti-portal attitude even though it may hurt him on the field. I bet it helps keep their program culture pretty consistent. He really emphasizes the blue blood nature of their program by doing that - “we don’t need the portal” is what I imagine it amounts to. Also, I bet he changes his approach if he thinks it will help the team.

Ben Boulware was a dirty scumbag, but generally speaking I agree. Interesting to note he's now LB coach there - might explain some of the headhunting on Angeli early on

I think Clemson fans are a bit like our basketball-only crowd. Generally friendly and good sports, a couple bad apples, but the outward perception can dwell on the overly high expectations that come from not having enough bad seasons to keep you grounded.

If you don't like Dabo, it's certainly not because you don't think he can coach and build a program. You just don't like his boy scout, true blue, gee whiz, old school principled demeanor.
Just like most of our opponents aren't going to like Fran's demeanor.
It comes with the territory called "winning."
