Kris and Scoop, etc

Rick and AO were soft? How about DC? How about Warrick? Forth? And I guess Melo is on that list too? I dont remember Josh Pace being pretty or finesse. Nor Paul Harris. And Wes Johnson was like a 16-10 guy for us.

If you bring Hakim Warrick into this as one of our "tough" guys and have to go back to DC...it kind of makes my point for me perfectly :)

4-7 for nine points with five rebounds against Pitt in the loss (only 23 minutes), 6-8 for twelve points with seven rebounds against Louisville here in the loss, 7-10 for fourteen with seven rebounds against Louisville there in the loss.

I didn't bother with the UConn numbers, since they didn't have any standout bigs in 2010. You're right; nothing stellar, but perfectly decent numbers for Arinze (doesn't reflect his defense, of course).

For some reason, us playing 4-on-5 against the teams with good centers (except for Georgetown, because Onuaku always seemed to play well against Hibbert) sticks in my memory during the Arinze years. Looks like he improved by his last year.

Warrick was a pretty physical player. He certainly was good offensively on the inside. And I went back to DC to show you that we have had alot of tough guys over a long period.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I think of Syracuse basketball through the decades as being very "pretty" and not physical at all.

Thats fine. I am just not sure I put much stock in analysis that doesnt find a guy like Melo (who is regarded as one of the most physical small forwards in the league) to be a physical player. I mean even our guards...like Flynn...was he not physical? Gmac? When I hear people say we are just finesse guys I wonder if they are just talking about Donte Greene again.

On a side note, are you a Cuse fan?

Of course, there were some physical guys along the way, but more exception, not the rule. Yes, Cuse grad 1992.
